How many times do you ask the question:
“What do you want for for Christmas?”
And get the reply:
“Nothing.”
It’s not a lot of good, is it? If you actually got them nothing, they’d be upset. So it’s that time of year again: we all have to start thinking about what we might buy our friends and family for Christmas without any help from them.
Well, here’s an idea. Have you been watching Frozen Planet? The breathtaking BBC documentary narrated by Sir David Attenborough has been one of the TV highlights of year. If you haven’t been seen any of it yet then do yourself a favour, click here and check it out for the thieving penguins and crafty killer whales. But even if you haven’t, we bet you know someone who has been watching.
Attenborough has been showcasing the fascinating world of nature on our screens for more than three decades, and he’s been writing about it for even longer. His books are just as awe-inspiring as Frozen Planet and they would be a brilliant Christmas present for a casual fan who has been enjoying the TV series.
You can find cheap copies of Attenborough’s books on the World of Books website.
For the more experienced Attenborough fan we’ve got a couple of his older, rare titles in stock at our World of Rare Books website.
