The summer holidays are upon us, and this means one question is lingering over all parents and guardians out there. How do I keep the kids entertained for 6 whole weeks?!
Well, we’re a bit biased, but we do know that keeping up reading over the summer holidays is a great way to keep the brain active. Reading is also a healthy and fun way to pass the time, whatever the weather!
We’ve come up with a little reading challenge that will encourage your children to read more, learn something new, and continue to explore their interests through the written word.
Just download the free PDF below, stick it up on the fridge or in their bedroom. Anywhere where they can keep engaged with the challenge.
Try to fill in as many boxes as possible over the summer, and make sure they rate out of 5* what they thought of the book. One more thing to tell their teacher about when they go back to school in September!
Once completed, print off the below certificate to celebrate your children’s reading success!
Perhaps you can both come up with a reward alongside the certificate to encourage them to complete the challenge. A day out somewhere, or a little gift?
